Doc Hollywood Collaborates with Alastor on “Back to You”

Dance music duo Doc Hollywood returns with new Alastor collaboration “Back to You.” Doc Hollywood Collaborates with Alastor on “Back to You”

Doc Hollywood – the dance music duo made up of DJ and producer Lex Larson and vocal/instrumentalist Louie Rubio – got attention a few years ago for song “We Run L.A.,” a track now used as the theme for The Shahs of Sunset. Now they’ve come out with another track – a collaboration with Alastor called “Back to You.”

While Doc Hollywood is known for combining multiple genres, “Back To You” sticks with a standard EDM formula. But rather than let the song sound like the thousands of tracks out there, the collaborators gave it a softness and warmness of synth major chords and contrasting, lighter vocals.

If you haven’t heard the track, listen here.

“Back to You” follows a regular string of releases from Doc Hollywood. This past fall, they put out EP A.D.D., which blended house and pop with tinges of disco, old-school influences, rock, and trap. Artists Martha Wash and Razzy Kazzy appeared.

Prior to this, the group put out a full-length album called Acceptable in the ‘80s. A full-length follow-up is apparently in the works.

Since getting attention in the radio for “We Run L.A.,” Doc Hollywood has been endorsed by such top acts as Katy Perry, Pit Bull, LMFAO, Lil John, Avril Lavigne, Pharrell Williams, and others. Aside from on The Shahs of Sunset, their music has been featured on ESPN, 90210, Lincoln Heights, Bones, Bad Girls Club, and other television programs and commercials.
