DMX’s Publicist Hints at New Album
DMX returned in 2012 with Undisputed, and he looks to continue that streak with a new release.
According to XXL Mag, a statement from DMX’s publicist hints that the rapper has something in the works. It reads:
“All bookings for DMX must go through his manager Montana. Montana can be reached at [email protected] or (347) 601-0861. As always media requests can go through Domenick Nati at www.NatiCelebs.com. DMX is working on a new album and we will be announcing his upcoming tours soon. Thank you to all his fans for your support.”
So far, it appears as if the rapper himself hasn’t confirmed if anything is in the works.
News concerning Undisputed began a year before the actual album dropped, when the rapper made an announcement at the BET Hip-Hop Awards. Before the actual album dropped, he put out EP The Weigh, which featured appearances from Snoop Dogg and Tyrese and production from Dr. Dre.
The album came out on Seven Arts Music, debuting at No. 19 on the Billboard 200 charts. So far, the release has sold about 25,000 copies in the U.S.
These days, DMX ended up in the news for saying he’d fight George Zimmerman, but so far, that event has yet to occur.
If you’re a fan of DMX, what would you like him to do on his next release?
