Did Beyonce Collaborate With Lady Gaga, Azealia Banks for New Single?
Although none of the above artists have come out to make a statement directly, multiple signs dating back over four months point to a collaboration of Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Azealia Banks.
Last week, the title of the upcoming single for Beyonce was revealed to be “Ratchet.” Previously, Queen B posted an Instagram picture of herself in gold hoop earrings displaying the word. Gaga was also seen, via picture online, in a nearly similar pair of hoops, also with the word “Ratchet.”
Gaga, additionally, revealed in a web chat in October, Billboard points out, that she had finished a song of the same name. That track, as well, has been said to be a possible first single from ARTPOP, Gaga’s upcoming third album with a release date sometime in January 2013. The other possibility is a song called “Tea.”
Banks, as well, spoke about working with the Mother Monster, stating previously: "I worked with Lady Gaga, but I worked with Lady Gaga from afar. We worked via email and via Internet. We have a song called 'Red Flame' and a song called 'Ratchet,' but I don't know what she's doing with it. She's going to release it when she wants to release it."
Additionally in October, the “Marry The Night” singer, in talking about a new single without revealing the title, mentioned working with Fernando Garibay and RedOne to put together a follow-up to “Telephone,” which featured Beyonce.
