Demi Lovato to Become a Book Author Soon
Demi Lovato will soon be able to add the word 'author' to her ever-growing résumé. The 21-year-old crooner, already an established pop star, has signed a two-book deal with publishing giants Macmillan, it was revealed on Monday.
So what will these books be about? It is a well-publicised fact that Lovato had bouts with depression, suffered eating disorders and was bullied in school. She has also had to deal with drug problems. Also, there was the infamous emotional breakdown, bouncing back from which is no mean feat, especially if you're a celebrity. She has successfully battled with all those demons, and that too, during her teen years.
Now regarded as somewhat of an authority on teenage issues, the "Made In The USA" crooner has decided to impart her wisdom to others in the form of two full-fledged books. Her first titled "Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year" will be hitting book stores across the US on November 19. The release date for its follow-up, which will be a memoir, has not been announced yet.
So what to expect in the first book? Well, it is simply a collection of the inspirational messages she has posted on Twitter account over the past few years.
After Macmillan broke the news, Lovato followed suit and re-informed her fans about the same through a Keek video. "I'm so excited to finally let you know what the big news was. I will be releasing a book called 'Staying Strong,'" she said before adding: "One of the things that has helped me in recovery is taking every day one day at a time and I'm a firm believer in starting out the day right with an inspirational quote and sort of a morning meditation. So I've put together 365 of my favorite quotes and a little morning meditation for everybody.
"It's just something that I'm excited about and I hope you all like it and I hope that it inspires you to be staying strong."
