DeGraw and Cook Gearing Up for Fall Tour
Gavin DeGraw and David Cook have announced that they will be co-headlining a 22-city tour between October 9 and November 10, 2011. With an opening act like Carolina Liar (“Show Me What I’m Looking For”), it should be a really good show.
DeGraw is best known for his singles “Chariot” and “I Don’t Wanna Be” but will be mostly performing songs from his fourth album, Sweeter, which was produced by OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, and is expected to be released on September 20, 2011. What’s really incredible, however, is the fact that just over a month ago, DeGraw was attacked by a group of people in New York City and, just moments later, struck by a taxi cab. He suffered a broken nose, two black eyes, a concussion and cuts to his face but he has been recovering well and is expected to be ready for the tour.
David Cook broke into the industry after winning the seventh season of American Idol, selling more than one million copies of his debut album. He enjoyed platinum success with his very first single, “The Time of My Life” and will be touring to support his follow-up album, This Loud Morning, which was released earlier this year.
Tickets for the tour go on sale September 16, 2011.
