David Archuleta 'I'll Never Go' Music Video
David Archuleta, former runner up in American Idol, has recently released the official music video for I'll Never Go, a track off his fourth studio album, Forevermore (only available in the Philippines). The clip filmed in Manila, Philippines, begins with a view from the outside of a home but suddenly then shows a sombre Archuleta in his bedroom inside the house, where he is packing his suitcase to go away - even though he is singing that "I'll never go". The clip never strays far from the scene of David packing to go away, but throughout the video the strong feelings of devotion are uppermost. It is a very "deep feeling" clip and song.
During 2011, while on his My Kind of Christmas Tour, David publicly announced to a crowd of some 2000 fans that he would be giving his music career a break for a while to go and be part of a Mormon mission. His plan is for a two year break.
In a statement about his plans, he said, "It's not because someone told me I was supposed to do it and not because I no longer want to do music anymore. It's because it's what I feel I need to do next in my life."
In January this year, an announcement revealed that he would be part of a Philippine TV series for TV5.
With the new album coming in August, fans can expect something really special as David combines two years of imagination, experience and his reflections on life. The next album, entitled Begin, is the result of numerous song-writing sessions, with long extended times in the recording studio. The album should appeal to many fans with covers of some classic inspirational tracks like R.E.M.'s Everybody Hurts along with some original new material.
The album, Begin, will be available in August. Pre-orders can be made via his website.
For the time being, the official video for "I'll Never Go" will inspire his followers.

Love this song. I can never get enough of his voice!
Thanks for the great article. David's singing is always full of emotion, but this one's really very strong. That was Valentine's Day and David knew that in 6 weeks he would be walking away from his career to serve a 2-year church mission. David told us he left a piece of his heart with us, and he is never far away from our thoughts and hearts. He'll return and we will be waiting for him. After 5 weeks in the Philippines as leading man of the 5-week series Nandito Ako plus recording the Forevermore album and videos and more, David returned to the US and worked on the BEGIN album through the 5 weeks before his mission. BEGIN. is mostly inspirational well known pop covers with one hymn and one original track called Broken. Preorders have started at Deseret Book and Walmart, and Amazon (and hopefully iTunes) will also carry BEGIN. BTW for anyone on Twitter, David is DavidArchie - his manager Kari is doing the updates since David is not allowed to tweet from his mission but Kari includes bits from David's mission emails.
..oops..that would be "music video" in my initial comment
I enjoyed your article about David's "I'll Never Go" movie video from his Forevermore CD. This was my favorite song from the CD from first listen. I love his lower register so much. His voice is different/unique from any other artist. Before David left for his mission, he planned ahead & put together some exciting music for us & we are so appreciative. He's a wonderful singer & just as important, he is a beautiful person. Really looking forward to his next CD~ BEGIN. to be released 8-7-12. Thank you David.
P.S. this may be a duplicate as I tried earlier & it didn't register. Thanks.
Nice write up!! You captured what many of David's fans feel. David was singing to his fans and we love that he left the door open. David sings so well and captures the emotion of the song. Can't wait for his new album BEGIN. Alls updates on DavidArchuleta.com
Hopefully you'll be reviewing the Album BEGIN. Release date Aug 7.
