Dave Matthews Band Announces New Album
The Dave Matthews Band has announced that they are back at it again, working on a new album with the help of Steve Lillywhite, as confirmed by CBS News. The producer helped Dave and the guys on their previous three studio albums as fans might remember, 'Under the Table and Dreaming', 'Crash', and 'Before These Crowded Streets'.
Details surrounding the album hasn’t been released, but since they're now back in the studio snippets of what the fourth album will entail should be on the way. Aside from the good news about the upcoming Dave Matthews Band album, the guys are also gearing up to hit the road soon on their North American Summer Tour.
So far supporting acts lined up for the Dave Matthews Band include the Avett Brothers, The Head and the Heart, Brandi Carlile, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Blind Pilot, Lettuce, SOJA, Gary Clarke Jr., Allen Stone, Edward Sharpe, and the Magnetic Zeros, Fitz and the Tantrums, Delta Spirit, and Tower of Power.
They plan to kick off their string of visits in Woodlands, Texas on May 18th, before making their way to locations such as Hartford, Mansfield, Saratoga Springs, West Palm Beach, Camden, and more. From August 31st through September 2nd the band also plans to make a pit stop at The Gorge Amphitheatre for the Labor Day weekend. They will also spend two nights on June 12th and 13th at the Nikon at Jones Beach. Their tour will wrap up on September 9th with one last gig in Mountain View, Washington.
Tickets go on sale to the public on March 9th.
