The former frontman/drummer will be sharing tales from the legendary Sound City Studios. Dave Grohl Gets Sirius XM Radio Show

Dave Grohl has made a number of career changes in his life and, somehow, he always manages to come out on top.  When he announced that the Foo Fighters would be taking a break, the former Nirvana drummer began working on another project.

It’s been announced that Grohl will be hosting his own Sirius XM Radio limited-run show called “Dave Grohl Presents Sound City.”  It’s set to premiere tomorrow, November 29, 2012 at 4pm ET on Classic Vinyl (channel 26).  If you follow news about the musician’s life, you will know that the radio show shares the title of his upcoming feature-length film documentary.

The series will air weekly and will feature stories about the legendary Sound City Studios where so many iconic songs were recorded.  Grohl will recount tales from the Los Angeles venue where the tracks were laid for Metallica’s Death Magnetic, Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours and Nirvana’s Nevermind were laid.

In a statement, Grohl said that he was “beyond excited” to share his work from this past year with the world and is grateful to have the opportunity to “let people know what got [him] excited about Sound City in the first place.”
