"Daughters" Video Review

Def Jam rapper Nas gets personal in his latest video “Daughters”, which presents his father – daughter relationship through his baby daughter’s eyes. The rapper first dedicated a song to his baby Destiny Jones back in ’94, titled “The World Is Yours”.

The video is directed by Chris Robinson, the proud father of a 6-year-old daughter:

"I think that this song for Nas is so personal, everything in the song is real, that he wanted to share this moment with his fans, with the world, and it was actually his suggestion. I was ready to cast someone, and he was real calm and said, 'Hey, Dest is gonna be here, I think we need to keep it real.' "

The song will be included in Nas’ upcoming album “Life Is Good”, set to be released on July 17.
