"Crying Lightning" Video Review

"Crying Lightning" is the first single from Arctic Monkeys' third album "Humbug". The Arctic Monkeys opted to stray from their traditional, straightforward approach. Guitarists Turner, Cook, and Bass Guitarist Nick O’Malley are spinning a web rather than rushing into a raw explosion of sound that has become common in Arctic Monkey records.

The music video, directed by Richard Ayoade (who worked with the band previously on the video for "Fluorescent Adolescent", as well as their "At the Apollo" live DVD), shows the band performing the song on a boat on a rough sea. Towards the end, four figures (which are also the band members) rise up out from the water.
