Conrad Murray to Be Sentenced on Tuesday
Conrad Murray, the disgraced doctor recently found culpable and convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the death of pop legend Michael Jackson, is set to be sentenced Tuesday, November 29.
According to the judge and prosecution’s less-than-kind words for Murray, the sentence is not expected to be light. According to reports, it is said that Murray has been recommended to be given the maximum four-year sentence.
"Dr. Murray's reckless conduct in this case poses a demonstrable risk to the safety of the public," said Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor to Murray on the day of his conviction, November 7.
The prosecution, who is seeking $1.2 million in restitution for Jackson’s orphaned children, as well as payback for the $100 million that would have been made during Jackson's London concerts, chided Murray for his comments in a documentary filmed about the trial, in which he said he didn’t feel guilt or responsibility for Jackson’s death.
"Finally, the defendant consistently blames the victim for his own death, even going so far as to characterize himself as being 'entrapped' by the victim and as someone who suffered a 'betrayal' at the hands of the victim,” said the prosecution team on Murray’s conviction date.
"There is no question that the death of his patient, Mr. Jackson, was unintentional and an enormous tragedy for everyone affected. Dr. Murray has been described as a changed, grief-stricken man, who walks around under a pall of sadness since the loss of his patient, Mr. Jackson."
The defense hopes to get Murray a more lenient sentence by providing favorable testimony from his former patients.

Things are not always clear cut. There is a bit of true in everything. In the bizarre world of Michael Jackson we may never know what’s true and what’s false with absolute certitude. The bottom line is, whether you are rich or poor, free or in jail, we all try to live another day and the “situation” we are in becomes our world; we adapt. Michael failed at that, surely he was like a great dinosaur, and like the dinosaurs he became extinct because he couldn’t adapt. Dr. Murray is not the only greedy person in the never-ending MJ saga. Greed… this is the crooked timber of humanity. In the crux of this drama I would like to jump from that into another shameful exploitation of MJ. A line of perfumes dedicated to Michael is about to be launched by Joe Jackson and a professional scam-artist who is much spookier than Dr. Murray, Julian Franck Rouas. This story will make your eyes curl up in the back of your head when you’ll read about the psychologically malevolent Julian Rouas and the Jackson Tribute Fragrances rogue operation. With no functioning conscience, they have even used Michael’s kids to promote the stinking perfumes…
