The song clearly comes off the Disney music assembly line with production and songwriting from the pair of Antonina Armato and Tim James who have worked on a number of Disney music projects.

There is a sampled hook from Player’s #1 70’s hit "Baby Come Back" possibly dropped in to trigger pleasant deja vu in parents listening along with their kids. Sure, you are being manipulated by the corporate music establishment, but the song is fun.

Vanessa Hudgens’ album V debuted at a mere #24 on the pop albums chart leaving Hudgens without the instant pop success of a Hilary Duff or Miley Cyrus. Instead, "Come Back to Me" has caught the ear of pop radio programmers giving Vanessa Hudgens the opportunity to climb into the solo spotlight through listener response.

"Come Back to Me" is unlikely to linger too long in your memory, but it also fails to generate any annoying after taste. Program it into your listening when you need a contemporary, breezy, light pop confection.
