Coldplay Releases Promo for Upcoming Comic Series

Coldplay is not a group that knows how to do anything halfway.  They are extremely successful, continually innovative and possess an ability to create music that evokes deep emotions through creative melodies and thought-provoking lyrics. 

Now, they plan to release the animated Mylo Xyloto comic series based on their highly successful album of the same name.  The episodes will be released monthly beginning in February 2013 and have launched a music video for “Hurts Like Heaven” which will give viewers an idea of what to expect.

As should have been expected, the animation is both strong and compelling while having an ethereal quality, much like the band’s music. 

The clip, which was directed by Mark Osborne, and follows the lives of two graffiti artist who, despite trying to survive during a time of war, fall in love and inspire a little boy, Mylo, to become the next champion of their cause.

The six-part series, which is being released by Simpson creator, Matt Groening’s, Bongo Comics next year will follow Mylo in his quest to spread an important and valuable message.
