Coldplay 'Charlie Brown' Music Video

No Cartoon Characters, But There Is A Story Of A Lawbreaker Stealing A Car To Impress His Girlfriend Coldplay 'Charlie Brown' Music Video

Coldplay has just released the music video for Charlie Brown,  the third single to come off their latest album Mylo Xyloto.

The video begins with the introductory sounds of the song ... a soft, almost eerie beginning. A young lady is seen walking inside a building, while a young man puts on his runners and track suit. The next shot shows the young man jumping out the window, typical of a parkour runner, avoiding obstacles and leaping over handrails and other barriers. Intermittent views of Coldplay performing the song are shown in between all the action.

The next scene shows the young guy after he has landed on the ground. He collects a large rock, and as he nears a parked vehicle, he uses the rock to force his way into the car, and take it on a joy-ride. He finds his girlfriend, and they go down town, both enjoying each other's company as much as the ride in the stolen car.

They end up at a nightclub and spend the evening dancing away, enjoying the music and the flashing lights of the venue. The clip continues, showing how they just enjoy being with each other. The alternating scenes of Coldplay's performance at the nightclub continue throughout the entire video.

There are some really colourful scenes using laser lights and fireworks towards the end providing a setting for a grand finale.

The piano solo at the conclusion is handled with absolute finesse. It is a brilliant ending to the song.

Coldplay are currently on a world tour promoting their Mylo Xloto album. Tickets for concerts can be purchased online from their website.
