Coachella Line-Up Announced

The US Music Festival Is Set Down For Two Consecutive Weekends In April This Year, Hosting Another Huge Array Of Acts Catering For All Tastes In Music Coachella Line-Up Announced

This year, the US Coachella music festival, is set down for two consecutive weekends in April - the dates being 13-15 April and 20-22 April. The same line-up of artists will occur on both weekends, so patrons who miss out seeing some of the acts on the first weekend, can return the following weekend to get their fill.

The venue of this massive event is at the Empire Polo Club grounds in Indio, California. Set in the desert region of the Coachella Valley, the area boasts very little cloud cover or rain - ideal for such an outdoor event. Scattered throughout the grounds are numerous stages with various acts performing continuously day and night over the three day program.

Organisers of the festival aim to keep the program fresh and unique, and consequently tend to only book performers who have not previously appeared.

Camping is catered for, and car pooling is encouraged to the point of awarding prizes to patrons arriving with four or more guests in their vehicle. Recycling also takes a high priority.

Again, this year all tastes in music are going to be catered for.  Some of the line-up includes the Black Keys, the Shins, Radiohead, hip-hop artist Snoop Dogg, DJs Swedish House Mafia, Avicii, David Guetta, multi-instrumental  musician Gotye, Bon Iver... this list goes on. Rapper Dr. Dre will close the event on both weekends.

Last year, around 90,000 people attended per day, making  this one huge festival. Tickets, last year were all sold within six days, so anyone intending to go needs to act now.

The poster shown lists the acts booked so far, but more artists may join.

It's a great way to start off the US summer season.
