"Christmas Makes Me Blue" Video Review
Hawaii born Simone White is a singer/songwriter whose predilection for mournful country-tinged Americana suggests reference points like Cat Power, or even Karen Dalton releases her 'alternative' Christmas song Christmas Makes Me Blue on 10th December.
White gets her Grinch on for the lyrics, saying she'd "rather have the flu" than take part in the usual festivities, but the dulled music box chimes and warm major 7th chords suggest she's brimming with Christmas cheer really. Directed by Dick Thompson.
