Christina Milian Signs to Young Money

The R&B singer makes announcement on Twitter, label expected to release her much-delayed fourth album. Christina Milian Signs to Young Money

Even though this shouldn't be groundbreaking news, R&B singer Christina Milian (and Social Media Correspondent for NBC's The Voice) has signed to Lil Wayne's Young Money label.

As reported by Billboard, Lil Wayne introduced Milian at the Cash Money pre-Grammy party on Sunday as "Young Money Christina Milian!" Quickly after, Milian took to Twitter: "The answer is... Yes. Let's Get To Work! I Heart You Guys.. It's Now or Never."

It is expected that Milian's much-delayed fourth album will be released through Cash Money, home of Drake and Nicki Minaj, among others. The album has been in the works since 2008, and has been attached to numerous labels, including Interscope and Radio Killa, home of the singer's ex-husband, The-Dream.

The closest the album came to fruition was when the then-titled Elope was set to be released in 2010 through Interscope, but as producer Tricky Stewart explained when the album was delayed, "[We] just got our label deals done, so the reason why some of these projects got delayed has to do with technicalities and things of that nature." The delays continued after Milian's marriage and the birth of her first child. When the time came to complete the album, Milian opted to focus on her acting career.

The day after the Young Money announcement, a new track by Milian, "Mr. Valentine," leaked. Though the singer denied the leak was intentional, she did take credit for the track. Will it be on her upcoming record? Only time will tell.
