Christina Milian and The-Dream Finalize Divorce
‘Dip It Low’ singer Christina Milian and The-Dream, whose real name is Terius Nash, are now officially divorced. A judge residing over Fulton County, Georgia finalized the couple’s short-lived marriage that ended last year.
After marrying in September 2009 in a Las Vegas wedding, reports came shortly after that The-Dream and Milian weren't doing so hot as newlyweds. It wasn't until February of 2010 that the Love Hate artist was the first to file for divorce from his wife, citing that their union was "irretrievably broken", adding that "there is no hope for reconciliation". At the time the news was kept quiet from the media and the public.
A little more than a week later Christina Milian gave birth to their daughter Violet, before announcing their split and decision to divorce in the summer of 2010. It wasn't before long, as Boombox points out, The-Dream was seen in several pictures alongside his assistant, vacationing. The two spotted together began to fuel rumors which could be why Milian and Nash’s marriage came to an end.
Recently tweeting the news of their divorce being finalized, the seemingly happy and thankful Milian was grateful to friends and family. "Love Love Love the people around me. My Family & Friends are so special to me, 143 u guys! God is Good. :) your presence is a gift."
Milian’s attorney Randy Kessler “said the divorce was resolved by mutual agreement,” the Washington Post reported. While in previous reports Kessler had told the Chicago Sun-Times, “Ms. Milian strongly believes that peaceful resolution is better for their child and that she is very pleased with the settlement and that it was accomplished out of court.” Other sources state that Milian and The-Dream had hashed out a settlement agreement last November.
