Christina Aguilera Rumored to be Releasing New Single Next Month

Not everyone can be Lady Gaga. Fans, as well, grow quickly suspicious if an artist changes her sound solely to fit the latest trends. As a result, Christina Aguilera’s last album, Bionic, was a bust, and over the past few years, she has attempted to redeem herself – and win back fans – by appearing as a judge on The Voice and singing on successful Maroon 5 single “Moves Like Jagger.”

Aguilera is scheduled to return to The Voice, but what about her music career? According to Perez Hilton, who spoke last week on the radio, the “Beautiful” singer is planning a new single for next month. But, if a track hasn’t leaked yet, is the news accurate? Courtesy of That Grape Juice, Hilton said on the radio: “We can expect new music from X-Tina very, very soon. According to reports, Aguilera is going to be dropping a single next month, […] which makes sense because ‘The Voice’ is going to be returning on the fifth of February, and she probably wants to capitalize on all that press and momentum. […] And an album is expected shortly after that.”

Rather than her music, Aguilera’s weight has been scrutinized by the media. As a result, rumors of a pregnancy circulated a month ago. A friend confirmed to RadarOnline.com that this wasn’t the case: “Christina loves her curves. She is not pregnant! She’s a Latina woman with curves and since when is it not ok to have curves?”

The friend went on to say: “She feels like she is setting an example for women and young girls, especially Latinas. She’s very proud of her curves. Christina thinks she is a good role model – not everyone is super skinny and she wants girls to embrace their body type.”
