Chris Slanton Releases The Music Video For 'But I Cannot Lose You'

The music video for "But I Cannot Lose You" begins with panoramic scenes around the countryside with the imposing beat of a drum, stressing that something urgent is about to be said. The tune of the song begins, with Chris Slanton standing in a wheat field. He sings about how strongly he feels with the lady of his life..."I saw the sky/Understood that I feel fine -With you".

More scenic shots follow, showing the countryside on a beautifully fine day - further emphasizing the crystal clarity of his devoted feelings to his lady-love. Chris then walks through a mediaeval village where the rock solid wall structures still stand, the cobblestone roads show no signs of wear, and behind him perfectly straight lines appear in the background and walls. The images indicate his love and devotion - they are rock solid, they are eternal, and everything is perfectly straight. There are no imperfections.

Throughout the video, the straight line sequences also show intricate patterns where the line changes course, just like the path of life. Unexpected events happen and the direction of life changes. But the course shown here is that whatever the change, the new direction continues in a straight line.

Further images show blindingly-bright flashes where the background pales into insignificance, and only Chris can be seen -  showing that whatever is going on in the world, you will not lose sight of me.

Throughout the entire clip, the direction is clear. The lines are straight, the roads are direct, the future for us is clear.   

No other people feature in the video. There  are no others in the city, and no traffic is on the roads.

Chris is devoted to only one person.
