Chris Brown Says Tattoo is Not of Rihanna

Almost as soon as people caught a glimpse of the tattoo, people thought it was Rihanna Chris Brown Says Tattoo is Not of Rihanna

Chris Brown won big at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards this past weekend, walking away with the Best Male Video prize and a shocking kiss from Rihanna.  Of course, things can’t just stay positive for Breezy for more than a few days – he’s already embroiled in another controversy.

The singer debuted some new ink this week and the public responded with astonishment.  A lot of people think that the tattoo looks an awful lot like a battered woman.  Even worse – it kind of looks like Rihanna too!

Truthfully, I really doubted highly that Brown would get a tattoo of Rihanna looking beat up on the side of his neck to serve as a reminder of why he’s still finishing up some community service.  It’s not surprising, therefore, that his people have offered an explanation that makes a little more sense.

A rep for the singer explained: "His tattoo is a sugar skull (associated with the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead) and a MAC cosmetics design he saw.  It is not Rihanna or an abused woman as erroneously reported."

One of his friends supposedly also said: “Naw man, that’s [isn't] Rihanna tatted on [Chris] no matter how much [you all are] trying to make it seem. Sorry, it [isn't] her. [Chris] loves women and you know he loves Ri, but come on now, he [isn't] about to tat a b**** on him. That [isn't] how he rolls.”

Either way, I think the assumption that he’d get inked with an image of a bruised and battered Rihanna is far-fetched, even for Chris Brown.  What do you think?
