Chris Brown Making Music With Fellow Inmate James DeBarge

Chris Brown and James DeBarge are making the best of their time in jail by engaging in some musical pow wows. Chris Brown Making Music With Fellow Inmate James DeBarge

Chris Brown has been making some musical alliances during his time in the L.A. County Jail. It's being reported that Breezy has been penning some tunes with James DeBarge, a fellow R&B artist. The two are cell neighbors who are located in a more isolated part of the jail for high-profile inmates.

Reportedly, the two have already written three songs together -- but they can't see each other. Now THAT's collaboration!

James DeBarge was a part of his family singing group, DeBarge, which may be best known for their single "Rhythm of the Night". He was married to Janet Jackson very briefly and now struggles with a drug addiction, which is why he's serving time.

Chris Brown recently had his jail time extended after violating probation for his assault on Rihanna in 2009. Earlier this month, he admitted to getting in to an altercation with a man in Washington D.C. which prompted the judge to extend his time by four months

I'm sure their musical bonding has been a great way for Chris and James to keep a level head while locked up. Maybe we'll even get a chance to hear some of their collabs at some point!
