Cher Attacked by Nicki Minaj’s Followers on Twitter

One of Minaj's fans told Cher: "yo @cher listen to the words b4 you say dumb sh*t on twitter!" Cher Attacked by Nicki Minaj’s Followers on Twitter

Yesterday, “Goddess of Pop” Cher misunderstood rap princess Nicki Minaj’s lyrics and a war of words between both the artists’ army of fans erupted on micro-blogging website Twitter.

The incident occurred after one of Cher’s Tweeps told her that she has been dissed by Minaj on one of her songs "Did It On 'Em." Cher reacted in her defence without fully understanding the meaning behind the lyrics and in the end; she had to issue an apologetic tweet.

"@cher did you know that bitch @NICKIMINAJ dissed you in her song DID IT ON EM," Cher’s fan tweeted to her.

The line that fan was referring to, goes something like this: "If you could turn back time, Cher/ You used to be here but now you gone, Nair."

The legendary singer, who is more than double of Minaj’s age, retweeted that fan’s question and added "Ive seen lots of people come & go! No biggie!" to it.

After watching Cher’s fans speaking ill of Minaj, the Super Bass-star’s Tweeps came to her rescue and they started hurling insults at the Believe-singer.

One such tweet was: "yo @cher listen to the words b4 you say dumb sh*t on twitter… do you know what a rap metaphor is??? TM is a cult you dont want it with!!"

It soon dawned on her that Minaj’s lyrics didn’t mean anything negative and so Cher quickly admitted her error of judgement and issued an apology.

"U R right! Someone said I was dissed..I've been dissed b4, but instead of finding out… I just got defensive! I should know better! Dumb," she tweeted.

But Team-Minaj kept on attacking her, which forced her to write: "Gimme a fkn break! Said i was dumb!"

All the above mentioned posts have now been deleted by Cher from her Twitter account
