Carrie Underwood to Debut New Single on ‘A.I.’
Carrie Underwood, without a doubt, is one of American Idol’s most successful contestants. While her career has moved far past its origins on the talent program, she returns on occasion, with her latest appearance scheduled for April 4 at 8 p.m. EST.
Continuing to put out more songs from her latest album, the successful Blown Away, Underwood is scheduled to perform her latest on AI, a track called “See You Again.” Underwood, Lindsey, and David Hodges co-wrote this fourth Blown Away single, which was revealed on Facebook.
As of now, Blown Away has gone platinum, and “See You Again” comes at the heels of “Two Black Cadillacs,” which recently became her 17th No. 1 single on the Mediabase Country Airplay Charts. The track is also the eighth No. 1 she co-wrote and was recently certified gold by the RIAA. Although the album was released roughly a year ago, the country singer continues to tour in support.
Along with her American Idol performance, the singer is scheduled to appear at the 48th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards. For this year, she was nominated in two categories: for Female Vocalist of the Year and for Album of the Year for Blown Away. Since her career took off, she has scored 10 ACM awards.
Underwood, however, is not the only AI album performing on the April 4 show. Joining her is Season 9 finalist Casey James, who is scheduled to perform “The Good Life.” Both are joining the top seven contestants from this current season.
