Carrie Underwood's New Album is Halfway Done

Country music superstar, Carrie Underwood, is currently working on her fourth studio album. Carrie Underwood's New Album is Halfway Done

Carrie Underwood burst onto the music scene after winning the fourth season of American Idol and, aside from a short break to finish her Communications degree, the beautiful blonde has not looked back.  After her incredible success with hits including “Jesus Take the Wheel” and “Before He Cheats” from her 2005 album, Some Hearts, some fans (and critics) were left wondering whether she could sustain her popularity.

Her 2008 album, Carnival Ride, yielded four number one singles (“So Small,” “Just a Dream,” “All American Girl,” and “Last Name”) and her permanence in the country music world was cemented when 2009’s, Play On, had three more tracks that topped the charts (“Cowboy Casanova,” “Temporary Home” and “Undo It”).

It’s been two years since her last effort and Underwood is almost ready to release a new album.  During an interview with Ryan Seacrest on his radio show, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, Underwood revealed:  "I've been writing quite a bit. And I've been in the studio a little bit. So I probably have about half an album done right now and trying to fill in the gaps and figure out what pieces of the puzzle are missing, but it's a fun time right now figuring everything out."

Underwood’s fourth album remains untitled and no firm release date has been announced.
