Carl Barat Cancels Gigs in His Up and Coming UK Tour
Carl Barat has postponed certain gigs and axed a further two from his fourth coming UK Tour. The Libertines co – frontman was due to start the tour at Norwich’s University of East Anglia (UEA) on March the 2nd, but instead, together with a gig at the Bristol Anson Rooms three days later, the singer and guitarist has axed these two shows.
A statement issued on his official site reads: "Unfortunately, the upcoming UK tour has had to be postponed. The Norwich and Bristol gigs have both had to be completely cancelled. Ticket refunds are available from point of sale. Apologies for any inconvenience."
Of the remaining dates, Carl Barat will now play the following gigs: Brighton Concorde 2 (March 29th), Cambridge Junction (March 31st), Oxford Academy (April 3rd), Manchester Academy 2 (April 6th), and Sheffield Leadmill - (April 8th)
The availability of tickets for Carl Barat’s shows can be checked here.
On the subject of The Libertines, the singer and guitarist believes the band will play more gigs in the future, and has also recently released a new book as well as a solo album.
