"Bye Baby" Video Review

Nas is ready to forget the past and embrace a new beginning, two years after his divorce from Kelis. His “Bye Baby” video is all about his divorce and lost love. In the beginning of the video Nas is shown in his house where his ex-wife cleaned out her closet and left, leaving behind only her green wedding dress. It’s the same dress Kelis wore at their wedding and that was used for the front cover of Nas’ tenth studio album “Life Is Good”.

The singer walks around the empty home with a bottle of cognac in his hand until he stumbles upon the old film from his wedding. The real footage from the wedding adds a nice touch to the video, making everything feel very real. The end of the video catches Nas with his boys, having a toast and enjoying life. He’s finally moved on.

“Bye Baby” is a single extracted from Nas’ tenth studio album “Life Is Good”, released earlier this summer. The album premiered at No.1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 Chart.
