Bruno Mars Wants to "Have Fun," Apologizes for Missing "It Will Rain" Video
Bruno Mars took time off from touring to call in On Air With Ryan Seacrest Monday about his current projects and the direction of his newest album, which he says he is excited to get started on.
“I’m kinda jonesin’ to just work,” said Mars to Seacrest “We did a gig in Hong Kong—we were out there for three days—and I said, ‘I would love to just be in a studio out here.’ And I got in and I couldn’t leave, so I just wanted to start some ideas for this next album.”
As for the subject matter of the upcoming LP, Mars is opting for a lighthearted feel as the theme of his sophomore musical offering.
“I want to have fun on this next album,” he said. “I think that’s the most important key, especially now that I’ve been on the road and am playing a lot of shows. I have a little more of a vision than I think I did with Doo Wops & Hooligans.”
The star also apologized for the nonexistence of his “It Will Rain” music video accompaniment to the song he recorded as the first single off the “Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1” movie soundtrack.
“I apologize to everybody that was waiting on this video,” said Bruno. “I take it real serious, these videos, and if it’s not right, I don’t want to put it out.”
Mars recently filmed a video for Lil Wayne’s song, “Mirror.” He is currently touring in Europe.
