Britney Spears and Lady Gaga Rumored to be Doing a Duet Together
Lady Gaga is no stranger to collaborations. More recently, she worked with R. Kelly, and then later recorded the song with Christina Aguilera after a successful performance on The Voice. One of her biggest tracks is a Beyonce collaboration, and she’s also now recording an album with Tony Bennett – after their success with “The Lady is a Tramp.”
So working with Britney Spears doesn’t seem out of the question. According to a source to Us Weekly, Gaga was spotted at Spears’ February 1 Las Vegas show and then later went backstage to talk to her. The source claims that: "During the song 'Till the World Ends,' Gaga walked to the pit and tossed Britney roses. Brit blew her a kiss!"
At the end of 2013, Spears also expressed interest in working with the Mother Monster: "I would do a duet with Lady Gaga. I think that would be a lot of fun. I think she's very different and interesting and intricate, and I like her as an artist."
Both pop stars last put out albums in November 2013. Lady Gaga’s ARTPOP went up to No. 1 on the Billboard 200, although it’s considered her least-commercially successful album to date. Spears’ Britney Jean met a similar fate on both sides of the Atlantic: In the U.S., her album dropped out of the top 10 just after one week, while the release was her lowest-charting in the U.K. since In The Zone.
