Brad Paisley And Carrie Underwood Premiere Music Video For 'Remind Me'

Country music legends, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, have just premiered the music video for their duet of Remind Me. The track was released as one of the singles from Brad's latest album "This Is Country Music".

The song is all about a married couple hoping to restore the passion in the relationship they once had. As the lyrics go, it's all about "reminding me" of what they had, especially when they sing, "We didn't care if people stared/ We'd make out in a crowd somewhere."  

The video was filmed in a desert region in California, about 150 km north-east of Los Angeles. As can be seen in the clip, it is a hot and dry day, with a lot of wind as sand blows by and clothes flap in the breeze. The area is absolutely flat, symbolic that as a couple they want to get back to basics or "ground level" as they say.

The video begins with the couple very far apart, maybe more than 100 metres away from each other – again symbolic that there is some distance between them, especially in their relationship and feelings for each other. As the music continues, they walk toward each other, getting closer, and singing reminders of how things used to be. They have even dressed totally differently – Brad in jeans and shirt that would be worn in the desert, while Carrie is dressed elegantly in a colourful flowing dress with golden high heeled shoes that are totally out of place in this environment. She even walks elegantly like a model on the catwalk, placing each footstep carefully in front, again unbefitting of walking on the desert plain. Here we have a couple that has drifted apart. But as the lyrics state, they "miss the way that it felt back then I wanna feel that way again."
It is a simple but very clever video, matched with a really meaningful song that is performed brilliantly. You don't have to be a fan of country music to like country music!
