"Born This Way" Video Review

The video for "Born This Way" shows Lady Gaga at her finest, in a sci-fi odyssey depicting a struggle between good and bad. The creationist story is heavily concentrated on birth, especially in a very graphical, full of liquids and exuding secretions.

The new alien race delivered by Mother Monster "bears no prejudice, no judgment, but boundless freedom", but is born in the shadow of evil, more exactly the half of Gaga that shoots assault rifles.

After the prologue, starts the dancing with Lady Gaga skipping to the beat in her bra and panties. If you look closely to the end of the video, you can see she has a misconstrued face, with bones sticking out of her face and a single tear dropping on her face.

The creative music video is directed by fashion photographer Nick Knight with choreography by Laurieann Gibson.

You can also spot an ode to haute couture, with Rick "Zombie Boy" Genest at the center, the Thierry Mugler muse who had his body altered (head and torso tattooed), so to look like a human skeleton.

Gaga shared her thoughts on the video to Billboard, "It . . . looks completely different than everything I've ever done [...] it is the birth of the new race. Really deep stuff."
