Bon Jovi's Daughter Arrested After Suspected Heroin Overdose
It has to be hard to grow up with a rockstar for a father sometimes. It’s tough enough for kids to avoid getting involved in drinking and drugs as it is so it’s very easy to conceive that being raised around people in the industry can have a certain affect on a young person’s life.
That seems to be the case for 19-year-old Stephanie Rose Bongiovi who was recently arrested on drug possession charges after she allegedly overdosed on heroin in her dorm room at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY.
An ambulance and police were called just before 2am earlier this week when Bongiovi, the daughter of Jon Bon Jovi, was found unresponsive. Authorities found heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia among her belongings.
Bongiovi has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana and was released pending a court hearing. A second student, a 21-year-old male, was also arrested. The college issued a statement saying that they are cooperating with the police investigation and emphasized that their “first concern is always for the safety of [their] students.”
The rocker’s daughter is one of the four children he shares with wife, Dorothea Hurley.
