Blue October to Release 'Any Man In America'
Blue October is a rock band out of Houston, Texas, that will be releasing its seventh studio album in mid-August. Titled, Any Man In America, the album is a new beginning that marks the start of a fresh life for lead singer, Justin Furstenfeld, as he climbs out of the ugly difficulties of a marriage break-up and bitter custody battle. To restore his rise back into full emotional strength, Justin found his greatest help back in the studio working on new material for this latest offering.
Any Man In America is an album of thirteen songs describing the heartbreak, sadness and restoration as a new life begins again.
The first single to be pre-released is the track The Chills, telling about the mental anguish Justin experiences as his relationship starts to disintegrate. He says, "I'm pleading, 'Why do you have to act like that? Why do I always feel these chills?' Those chills are how you know you love someone. The song is about me trying to prove my love because of those chills."
The title track, "Any Man In America", blends a taste of hip-hop into their distinct rock band sound producing an interesting infectious song. Justin likes good hip-hop, saying, "Artists like Paul Wall, Eminem, Jay-Z and growing up around Houston’s Swishahouse empowered me."
But the final track, "The Follow Through", completes the catharsis, ending on a very positive note. In a duet with Patricia Lynn from a band called The Soldier Thread, the pair brilliantly lifts spirits high as they sing, "Let me help you live on". There is no better way of saying this, other than it is really inspiring.
The band has been around together since 1995 and has produced some really great material. This latest album will surely attract an even bigger following.
Some of their music can be listened to at the Rainmaker Artists website.
The latest track to come off their upcoming album is the heartfelt song The Feel Again (Stay) shown in the music video below.
