Blink 182 Releases 'After Midnight' Music Video
Blink 182 has dropped a new music video for their single entitled ‘After Midnight’. The track comes from their album ‘Neighborhood’ which hit shelves this past September. The music video features a darker more serious look this time around from Blink 182, who are usually lighthearted. The video was directed by Isaac Rentz and was filmed in Tustin, California, per Huffington Post.
Seen in the 'After Midnight' video is a young couple who live within the walls of a psyche ward. Seen in between flashes of Blink 182 performing, is the couple spending time together, running the halls and wreaking havoc while no-one is around. As previously explained by Mark Hoppus, the 'After Midnight' video took some experimenting, but ended with great results.
"We went through probably 30 different treatments for this video, and a lot of them were great, and a lot of them weren't so great but Isaac stuck out as a really cool idea.”
Hoppus also went on to add that Isaac Rentz’s work on the video was successful as far as what Blink 182 was going for. "We wanted it to be something different than just a bunch of people having fun and having a party; we wanted it to be a little darker, a little more troubled, and Isaac's treatment did that."
He added, "The song itself is about troubled love, it's about damaged people who fall in love," explaining "and the video takes place in a psychiatric ward, and this guy and this girl escape from their rooms and have a night of romance and passion and fun and wild existence .."
