"Black Out The Sun" Video Review
Darren Hayes releases the video for his newest single, "Black Out The Sun". Hayes appears abandoned on a isolated beach with sinister men in black robes surrounding him, while packs of crows fly over him.
The background created is the perfect vessel to be filled with the song's transpired emotion, as Darren sings, "There's no use imagining a world without you, your love was like a drug I was addicted to. Because there's nobody else who can hurt, like you hurt me. I don't wanna be lonely. There's no joy, there's no meaning, just this hollowed feeling (. . .) The love is gone and nothing lives here.
He later explains the concept behind the title, "[The] idea [is] that you could simply switch the sun off and the ground would turn to poison because all the things that made it beautiful were really in the reflection of the eyes of the person you've lost."
