Birdman, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne Release "Y.U. Mad" Video

The music video for one of the latest collabs in the hip hop world has just been revealed, and it features three of the music industry’s powerhouses. Birdman, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne come unite for the track “Y.U. Mad” off of Birdman’s fifth album, Bigga Than Life.

The song starts off with Minaj spouting “I am the female Weezy”, which sets the tone for the video as Nicki dresses in replica of Wayne’s skater style, even donning blonde dreadlocks. Always one to change up her style, Minaj definitely outdoes herself with this one. It even looks like she went ahead and copied his signature swag and dance moves. The rest of the video is pretty typical with Birdman and Wayne kicking it, surrounded by fancy cars, booze and of course, beautiful women.

Weezy himself commented on the hook of the song, “Honestly though, I don’t think no one is actually mad, it’s just a figure of speech. I think Nick just sounded good saying ‘mad’ at that point in the song. I don’t think it would’ve been cooler if she said, ‘That’s why you glad.’”

He adds, “I don’t think it would’ve sounded cooler, I think that’s why she went with ‘mad.’ We have to ask her next time I see her. I’m not sure if you guys are actually really mad, because we don’t want you guys mad if that’s what it is.”

Birdman dished on his latest track and apparently Nicki is responsible for passing the song on to him.  "Nicki gave me that song. She called me one day like, 'Stunna, I got a record for you I think you would like. I jumped on it and put my son on it. I liked it from the start. Working with Nicki is just special anyway and I felt good about it, so we rocked with it."
