"Big Red" Video Review

Slaves to Gravity, the hard rock darlings of the London underground scene have just shot their debut single ‘Big Red’. The video, an exciting blend of performance and animation, is the brain child of director Gary Shore. Gary says, ‘The idea behind the video was an inspired blend of my own creative influences, set against the story of an animated character trying to escape from a physical world.. a bit like Alice in Wonderland meets Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein’. In order to create the necessary visuals, all the elements, including each member of the band, were shot separately against green screen. The video was being painstakingly animated and composited by a team of monkeys under the watchful eye of Mr. Shore and is now after tree weeks of post production finally ready.
