Biffy Clyro Working On New Album

The Scottish Rockers Will Follow Up Their Fifth Album With A Change In Style, But Not Too Different Biffy Clyro Working On New Album

Scottish rock band, Biffy Clyro, are currently working on their next album, and stated that there will be "no reggae songs or dubstep" in the new release. This follow-up to their fifth album Only Revolutions, will contain songs that they will be writing in a "different manner", but they will still be using their age-old formula with which they are "comfortable". The band's singer, Simon Neil said, "We're just investigating and experimenting with what we feel comfortable doing. We haven't got any reggae songs or dubstep."

The rockers also revealed that the new LP would be a double album, with all work completed hopefully by the end of April. It is intended that the album will be released later in the year. Singer Neil Simon did reveal that there were some unusual influences on the album, saying, "There are a couple of songs that are written entirely on keyboards, string sounds, and I guess Phil Collins-type electro beats behind it."

Biffy Clyro have recently been added to the line-up for the Download Festival, being set to play on the middle day, Saturday 9th June. The Download Festival is a three day rock event held every year in the UK at Donington Park in England. This year, it will take place over the weekend 8-10 June.  The Prodigy, Metallica and Black Sabbath will headline this event.

Following soon after, Biffy Clyro are confirmed to also perform at the Isle Of Wight Festival on 22-25 June. Headlining this event will be Pearl Jam, Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen.

Wherever Biffy Clyro perform, they draw incredibly huge crowds  - as can be seen in the accompanying video. The upcoming festivals will be huge.
