Beyonce's Love Letter to Michelle Obama
Back in April, Beyoncé posted a handwritten letter that she wrote about Michelle Obama, a woman that she clearly has a lot of respect for. In her writing, the new mother praised the First Lady, calling her “the ultimate example of a truly strong African American woman.”
To reiterate her feelings, Bey has recorded a video of her words in which she says some incredibly powerful things: "She is a caring mother, she's a loving wife, while at the same time, she is the First Lady. No matter the pressure, and the stress of being under the microscope, she's humble, loving, and sincere. Michelle, thank you so much for every single thing that you do for us. I am proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you to look up to."
The admiration seems to be mutual. Mrs. Obama, 48, responded on Twitter back in April writing: "Thank you for the beautiful letter and for being a role model who kids everywhere can look up to."
Clearly she means it since she, a self-admitted Beyoncé fan, took her daughters, Sasha, 11, and Malia, 14, to one of the singer’s shows and even went as far as to say that if there was anyone else that she could be, it would be Beyoncé: "If I had some gift, I’d be Beyoncé," she said. "I'd be some great singer."
With so much cattiness between famous women, it’s nice to see some camaraderie for a change! Watch Beyoncé's video message:
