Beyonce Rumored to be Working on Fifth Album

Beyoncé just released 4 this past year, yet, according to producer The-Dream, the singer is reportedly already recording a follow-up. Could it be the somewhat-disappointing sales of 4, which is currently approaching platinum status? Or, considering Beyoncé has been in the news more for her pregnancy than music, perhaps she’s trying to get another recording in before her and Jay-Z’s first child arrives?

Working with the singer on hit “Single Ladies” and on parts of 4, The-Dream revealed about her rumored fifth album to The Boom Box: "She's ready to work. She's crazy! She never stops doing anything. I don't know if [pregnancy] is going to slow her down. She's just incredible with doing things, I don't know how she's going to do it, she's just a maniac... in a good way."

Aside from reportedly recording, Beyoncé has been with Jay-Z on his Watch the Throne tour and is promoting her own concert DVD, Beyonce Live at Roseland.

Yet, a new album seems to be an afterthought to their new baby, which is due in February. The singer, along with her husband, has supposedly switched to a “partially vegan” diet. However, both of them plan to spend the holiday relaxing and getting ready for their child. The singer said: “We are both so busy throughout the year that Christmas is just a time to relax with family and count the many blessings in your life. Christmas Day is a no-TV zone. We just like to sit and talk together as a family.”

About getting ready for her child during the holiday season, she said: “[W]e both keep seeing super-cute stuff for the baby, so I am sure even our presents for each other will involve the baby in some way!”
