Azealia Banks and Pharrell Collaboration “ATM Jam” Debuts on Hot 97
For a while, Azealia Banks has talked about her full-length debut album, Broke With Expensive Taste, which has no formal release date. Earlier in 2013, its first single “Yung Rapunxel” dropped, and as a follow-up, the album’s second cut debuted recently at the Glastonbury festival and officially this week on New York radio station Hot 97.
The “212” rapper actually gave fans a heads-up in May with the following tweet: "Single #2 is called "ATM JAM" and it's featuring ?@Pharrell ! !"
Then, on July 2, the “clean” version of the track hit the radio. To see Banks’ debut performance, watch the clip from Glastonbury below:
According to reports, Broke With Expensive Taste is a work five years in the making, with all new material not found on her earlier EPs. 13 tracks are scheduled for the standard version, while a deluxe album will have 16 or 17. While there’s no word whether Banks is finished, she mentioned earlier in 2013 that Broke is 80-percent complete.
Along with the collaboration with Pharrell, the rapper who has a beef with Angel Haze has spoke about collaborating with British electronic duo Disclosure.
What do you think of “ATM Jam”? Does this track and “Yung Rapunxel” mark a strong start for the rapper’s debut album?
