Guns 'n' Roses front man Axl Rose, has issued a law suit against the makers of the console game, Guitar Hero. The $20 million dollar law suit against Activision has by all accounts been inspired by Axl Rose's hatred of the bands former guitarist, Slash.

Rose originally sanctioned the use of 'Welcome to the Jungle' for use in the game providing that no Velvet Revolver songs that feature Slash were used in it. Velvet Revolver tracks feature prominently in Guitar Hero, and Slash has been put on the front cover, and the guitarist is also a playable avatar. Just when you thought no game could feature a guitar hero more, Slash was made the spokesperson of the game.

Skip Millar, Axl Rose's lawyer said, "[Activision] began spinning a web of lies and deception to conceal its true intentions to not only feature Slash and VR prominently in GH III but also promote the game by emphasizing and reinforcing an association between Slash and Guns N' Roses and the band's song 'Welcome to the Jungle,'".

Axl Rose's hatred of the former guitarist is no secret. In 2009 he branded Slash a cancer and best avoided. Curiously, the law suit comes three years after the release of Guitar Hero III, where one can only imagine that Axl Rose must have came across the game by accident, and decided to take action. It is hard to believe that the successful front man needs the cash.
