There was a huge sigh of relief amongst Manic Street Preachers when their latest album, Send Away The Tigers, was released. Gone was the limp synth pop, bluster and bombast, and in its place was a fresh, exciting sound that suited Messrs Wire and Bradfield down to the ground.

'Autumnsong' is the second release from the album, and it signals a return to the grandiose, swirling, mega-hits that saw the band charge out of the indie wilderness into the mainstream ten years ago. A bombastic return to form, which should rightfully be heard across the nation's arenas for many years yet.
