"Automatic" Video Review

In preparation for the release of their third album, Tokio Hotel offers a new single called "Automatic". It will be the first song off the album "Humanoid".

"Automatic" was produced by frequent Tokio Hotel collaborator David Jost. The vocals are soaring and massive, aiming straight for the stars, and the drums crash and pop ... and that's not even mentioning the amount of electronic frippery backing it all up. If, as Jost said last month, the album really is influenced by science fiction, well, then it's fitting that "Automatic" sounds like a big, super-charged space cruiser.

The video shows the band's personnel driving cars through South African desert. Then somewhere in the dry area, they make a stop and perform on a giant stage with several robots slowly raising up near them.

"Shooting the 'Automatic' video three days in the desert was quite an adventure," frontman Bill Kaulitz told Teen Vogue. "It was in the middle of nowhere in Africa - no cell phone reception, no Internet, not even paved roads."

"But in return we got a location that was just unreal. I've never had such a good feeling after leaving a set. I knew it was right from the beginning. When I first read the video script I knew this was exactly how I wanted to visualize our song 'Automatic'."

toko hotel has a very charismatic aura...they have harmony within their music in which serious listeners would want to listen and understand their message....i too for one, am captivated by their strange lyrics and tunes....they mix well their music with their own personal ingredients which may not be very obvious...",
hoping that they would expound more their music realm....I'm intrigued....hmhmhm
