Ashlee Simpson Reveals New Song 'Bat For A Heart'
After a long absence from the music scene, singer Ashlee Simpson has dropped a new song, 'Bat For A Heart'.
Ashlee Simpson, the sister of Jessica Simpson, has re-emerged with a new persona and a new song, 'Bat For A Heart’. Co-written with Linda Perry, who has previously worked with the likes of Christina Aguilera and others, Simpson seems to have dropped the pop, opting for darker fare.
"I'm gonna bang, bang, f***k you up / Twist you out inside of my head," are just some of the lyrics that will catch you by surprise in the ‘Pieces of Me’ singer’s new song. The full length single, per Much Music, made its official debut just a day before Thanksgiving (Nov. 21st) on iTunes with a message from Simpson that was displayed on her Twitter account. "I am so excited to share my new music #BatForAHeart with you," she wrote.
Word on whether there is more to come from the younger Simpson has yet to be revealed. Listen to 'Bat For A Heart' below.
