Ariana Grande Previews New Single “They Don’t Understand”
When her label pulled her Chris Brown collaboration, Ariana Grande left fans wondering when a new single would arrive. Now, based on a recent preview, it looks like something else is coming out after all!
With her second album apparently finished, Grande went on LiveStream to preview a new song, called “They Don’t Understand.”
For fans, Grande sang a 30-second clip but then followed that with: "I'm not allowed to play that much of it. I feel like I want to though. OK, that's it. I can't play anymore or I'll get in trouble."
There’s no word when “They Don’t Understand” will come out, but presumably, it’ll be soon.
A collaboration with Chris Brown had been scheduled earlier this week, but because Brown had been expected to spend the next month in jail, or until a judge determines he violated his probationary terms, Grande’s label decided to pull their duet, called “Don’t Be Gone Too Long.”
Originally, “Don’t Be Gone” had been expected to come out on March 24, but the track appears to be postponed indefinitely for now. Around the time the track was pulled, Grande tweeted fans: "My duet partner isn’t available at the moment to put the song out with me."
Grande shot to mainstream fame with track “The Way,” which reached the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 last year. Her debut, Yours Truly, came out in early 2013.
