Aretha Franklin Planning Summer Wedding

Aretha Franklin has announced her plans to marry this coming summer.  The longtime artist and 18 time Grammy winner, per AceShowbiz, will be tying the knot with William “Willie” Wilkerson, her longtime friend, and now fiancé.

This will mark the sixty-nine year old star’s third walk down the aisle. According to what Franklin shared with People Magazine, the soul singer is interested in holding her wedding during June or July of this year. "We're looking at June or July for our date."

She also laughed off jokes about a shot gun wedding, with a possible pregnancy prompting her to marry soon.  "No, I'm not pregnant, LOL!"

In other reports it was also shared that Aretha Franklin could be marrying in Florida's Miami Beach followed by a classy reception that will be held exclusively on a private yacht.  Her choice of wedding gown designers have been supposedly narrowed down to the well known and popular Vera Wang, or possibly Donna Karan, and Valentino, as reported by her reps.

"Ms. Franklin is considering Donna Karan, Valentino and the queen of wedding dresses, Vera Wang, to design her gown."

The Queen of Soul hasn't been married since 1984. She previously walked the aisle and said “I do” to actor and producer Glynn Turman (A Different World, The Wire). The two were married for six years after her to her relationship and marriage to Ted White, her former friend and manager.
