Are Katy Perry and John Mayer Really Hooking Up?

Katy Perry recently finalized her divorce from Russell Brand and it looks like she’s already checking out her options.  The singer was spotted with John Mayer last week after they enjoyed a relaxed dinner at Chateau Marmont.  This isn’t the first time these two have been seen in the same place, though.  All the way back in 2009, Perry was spotted flirting with him like crazy at Golbar in NYC.

In case you are trying to give them the benefit of the doubt by thinking this could have been a working dinner (they are both songwriters, after all), a source spotted them looking very cozy while "holding hands across the table," sneaking kisses, and laughing.

Sounds very similar to the eyewitness account from back in June of this year when someone saw them at Soho House in West Hollywood where they “were affectionate, holding hands and cuddling!"

Mayer is known for his “love ‘em and leave ‘em” attitude towards relationships so, hopefully, Perry has gone into this fully expecting the same outcome.  His famous exes include Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Love Hewitt.

A source said: "They're just hooking up right now. It's not serious -- yet!"

Taylor Swift has written a song about his womanizing ways but something tells me that a track penned by Perry would be a lot more intense.  Watch your step, Mayer!
