Anthony Hamilton Releases The Music Video For 'Woo'
Anthony Hamilton is a US R&B soul singer who has just released the music video for Woo, the first single to come off his latest studio album Back To Love. This new album will be available in stores on December 13.
The video depicts the soul singer as an art thief. The beginning shows video footage of Anthony Hamilton stealing a painting from an art gallery. Dressed typically like a cultured thief - in a suit and Fedora hat (to hide his face) - he lifts the artwork off the wall and unashamedly walks out of the gallery with the painting under his arm. In the next scene, however, he is in an interview room at a police station, being questioned by a female detective. But this is no ordinary detective. She has charm and appeal to die for.
The clip goes back to the thief's former life, showing him living it up in a very suave office, smoking a cigar and drinking expensive Remy Martin cognac. At that point in time, he was always one step ahead of the law, keeping full control of his life. He sings, "Wasn't thinking about striking them no conversation." But now this sophisticated detective who has walked into the room has suddenly made him go weak at the knees. No longer can he keep his composure and continue the lies.
After being released, he is visited by her and she checks out his office. Again he is besotted with her - he can't keep his eyes off her. He sings, "Kicks my strong makes me weak till I crumble."
He knows he is in too deep. He knows that "she's so bad but she's trouble", but he can't help himself.
The video has an interesting twist at the end.
"Woo" is a great song with a clever music video.
