i can kinda relate my dad has narcissistic personality disorder, it was really hard when i was younger but now after all the research and therapy and talks i've had with him i realize that it's not his fault,, he loves me , he's my dad and although he's not able to show it the way other people can or the way, or the way i would like, i know it to be true

Ginny, had exactly the same thing and the first time I heard this song thought it suited perfectly to my experience. A Narcissistic person is about the worst kind that you can encounter for he/she can wear you completely out. I was so played arround and thought that for him it was as real as it was for me, but it turned out that he was used to do these kind of things and I was just one more in his list. Still, after almost two years, I have trouble trying to understand what drove him to do that. The pleasure that he might have got out of it cannot compensate in any way the suffering I've gone through.
I guess some things are just not meant to be understood and the only reasonable thing to do is to go on and try not to fall in to an "almost lover" experience again ;)
